Oribé Hair Care began its journey in 2008 with a simple insight: while beauty categories were often ranked “Good. Better. Best.,” hair care had yet to reach that level of excellence. Daniel Kaner, together with legendary hairstylist Oribe Canales and two partners, recognized an opportunity to redefine professional hair care by offering a brand with a distinct, boutique perspective. Combining masterful craftsmanship, high-performance formulas, and decades of editorial and salon expertise, Oribé set out to create an entirely new standard in hair care.

From the very beginning, Oribe Canales was determined that his products would redefine performance. He wanted stylists and consumers to not just see – but truly feel – the difference. The Fragrance
While most hair care brands rely on stock fragrance libraries, Oribé Hair Care was the first to infuse its products with a true fine fragrance. Partnering with a legendary 19th-century perfume house, the brand created its signature scent, Côte d’Azur. Inspired by the glamour and warmth of the French Riviera, the fragrance opens with bright, sun-kissed notes of Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, crisp Aomori apples, and fresh leafy greens. Rich sandalwood, earthy vetiver, and soft amber add depth, while tuberose and white butterfly jasmine – sourced from Oribe’s native Cuba – bring a sensuous, invigorating elegance. This signature scent weaves through the entire line, creating a luxurious experience that delights both hair and spirit.
