The spark for salon ownership lit up when Megg was just 12 years old – long before she ever held a pair of shears. Enchanted by the sights, scents, and energy of her favorite salon, Studio 4001 in Los Colinas, she fell head over heels for the world of beauty. It was pure magic – a place where creativity came alive and dreams felt possible.
As a proud fourth-generation entrepreneur, Megg was destined to build something uniquely her own. With that passion rooted deep, she dove into cosmetology at the Dale Jackson Career Center, graduating at just 17 with both her diploma and her license – ready to take on the industry!
Her journey took off under the mentorship of the legendary Drew Kime at Wane Salon, where she honed her craft in color and cutting while learning the art of client care and the ins and outs of running a business. In 2009, she discovered her salon soulmate at Peyton Thomas – a vibrant, creative community where her skills and confidence truly bloomed.
By 2013, Megg was ready to take the leap and launch her own dream – Fringe Studio, born in a cozy suite at Phoenix Salon Suites. Those early years were full of growth, grit, and grace, as she balanced building her business with becoming a mom to two beautiful children.
In 2017, Fringe blossomed into a full-scale salon – a buzzing, joy-filled space where artistry and authenticity collide. Then, in 2022, Megg took full ownership of Fringe, transforming her lifelong dream into reality and solidifying her mission to create a space that celebrates creativity, community, and connection.
Today, Fringe Studio is more than a salon – it’s a vibe, a family, and a creative hub where stylists grow, trends are born, and every guest feels seen, heard, and celebrated. With a focus on advanced training, innovation, and quality, Fringe continues to raise the bar while keeping its roots grounded in warmth and community.
